Baby Projects

This is a picture of a little teddy bear I crocheted and a pair of booties I knitted for a friend who's having a baby in early December. I'm really enjoying crocheting and knitting. It makes a nice break from school and other things. :-)

New Layout

I had fun messing around with a new layout for my blog. I don't know if I'm completely happy with it yet, but I decided to leave it for now and get on to working on other things.
  • assignment due tomorrow that I've been putting off that I should really work on
  • put housing info into a spreadsheet so we can look at pros and cons easily
  • laundry
  • pack some stuff to move tomorrow
  • read an article or two for school
  • finish sewing up the seams on the baby booties I knit
Why is it so easy to procrastinate on things that are "less fun" and busy myself with things that I enjoy more? Someone once told me that when making a to-do list you should put the most difficult tasks at the beginning and then force yourself to work through the list in order. Maybe I should try that. No more blogging until I get my list above completed.

Something New

A blog...what will I use it for? I decided to create it for the purpose of:
  • staying connected with friends and family
  • a place to be inspired to write creatively
  • sharing current life happenings
  • sharing yummy recipes
  • sharing encouragement from Scripture
  • sharing pictures
In a way I see this as my online scrapbook/live journal to share my life with those who are interested. I hope to be an encouragement to others and to inspire creativity and a heart that seeks to honor the Lord.

So for my first post, I'll share a recipe that I made up when I really wanted chicken noodle soup and didn't have any.

Christina's Chicken Noodle Soup
Boil 1 chicken breast in 3-4 cups of water
Cut chicken breast into bite size chunks
Add 3 carrots sliced in 1/4" rounds
Add spiral noodles
Add garlic powder to taste
Add 2-3 Tblsp Italian salad dressing

Serve when carrots and noodles are tender.
